Hi, I am Chad Tuschman with the law firm of Williams DeClark Tuschman,
and I want to talk to you briefly about the status of the Jeep recall
of which we are handling cases. I’m sure you are aware of the Jeep
recall due to the news coverage; and of course, it pertains to our area
to the extent that we have a Jeep plant here. The majority of the Jeeps
in question were those produced from 1992 to 2003. These Jeeps have a
fire hazard. Meaning that the gas tank was put in the back of those vehicles
are at risk of exploding if there is a rare impact.
Recently the government took steps and Jeep agreed to recall all of the
types of Jeeps that have this type of defective condition. Jeep knew about
the risks. They had put in a metal lynch pin in the back to sort of prevent
the problem without correcting the problem. So the cooperate individuals
at Jeep knew about the risk to those driving these vehicles but thought
that with the metal lynch pin in the back would prevent fires from occurring.
Well it doesn’t. There has now been a strict recall for all vehicles
in the years ’92 through 2003.
As Jeeps are obviously extremely prevalent around this area, we are taking
these cases. Again there has been various reports about the actual number
of Jeep fires that have occurred and certainly with deaths, but the more
that it is investigated the more that it is being determined that these
fires were indeed caused by the defective condition. If you have experienced
this or you know someone who has, we are taking these cases. Call us at
(419) 318-0772. Again, my name is Chad Tuschman with Williams DeClark Tuschman.
