(FDA) warned the public about the potential harms for using viscous lidocaine
as a pain reliever for teething babies.
Viscous lidocain is a gel like syrup that contains a local anesthetic and
requires a prescription. It is typicallused to treat throat or mouth ulders
for patients undergoing chemotherapy. If too much is given to an infant
and young children or if they swallow too much it can have severe consequences.
Symptoms of of receiving too much lidocain can include seizures, heart
problems and severe brain injury.

follow for teething pains:
- Use a teething ring chilled in the refrigerator (not frozen)
- Gently rub or massage the child’s gums with your finger to relieve
